Privacy policy
The short version
- We keep your email, your hunt settings and a record of what you paid. We need these to run your hound.
- We don't sell your data.
- We send marketing email only if you tick the box for it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- We use PostHog for analytics. In the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, or if we can't tell where you are, it uses no cookies until you say yes.
- Your email address is never sent to PostHog.

Who's responsible
Hegix LLC, 10140 SW 79th Ct, Miami, FL 33156, USA, runs RestockHound and is responsible for your data. For anything in this policy, email support@restockhound.com.
What we collect
When you adopt a hound, we keep:
- your email address
- your hunt: the models you picked, your postcodes and radius, your alert wave, your referral code and who referred you
- your browser push subscription, if you turn on notifications
When you unlock a find, Stripe handles the payment. We keep the Stripe session ID, the amount and currency, any promo code and the time. We never see your full card number.
When you use the free checker, we use the postcode or city you type to look up stores, and keep it for a short time to speed up repeat lookups. We use your IP address for rate limits and bot checks.
If you tick the marketing box, we store that you agreed, with a timestamp.
We also collect usage data with PostHog. That covers the pages you visit, when you run a stock check (not what you type in it), the link that brought you here, your country and your device and browser type.
Why we use it
- To run the service you asked for: confirming your email, hunting, sending alerts and handling unlocks.
- With your consent: marketing email, and analytics cookies where the law asks for consent.
- For our legitimate interests: stopping bots and fraud, keeping the site secure, and cookieless analytics that help us improve it.
- Because the law requires it: tax and payment records.
Some emails are part of the service: the confirmation email, find alerts and messages about your hunt.
Marketing email, like news about future launches, goes out only if you opt in. The box is unticked by default, and we keep a timestamp of when you ticked it.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe from a hound's alerts, that hound stops emailing you.
Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog (US Cloud) for analytics. Your browser sends the data to PostHog through learn.hegix.com, an address Hegix manages. PostHog receives your IP address and uses it to estimate your country.
You'll see a consent banner if you're in the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway, or if we can't tell where you are. Until you accept, PostHog runs without cookies or local storage. If you decline, or later withdraw, PostHog stops collecting and saves a small "don't track" note in your browser. To change your answer, use the Cookie choices link at the bottom of any page.
We never send your email address or your full postcode to PostHog.
We set two cookies of our own:
rh_localeremembers the country and language you picked.rh_consentremembers what you chose on the consent banner, so we don't ask again.
PostHog uses a cookie and local storage to recognize your browser on your next visit. It uses them only after you accept, or always if you're outside the regions above.
The checker and the adopt form use Cloudflare Turnstile to check you're a person. Turnstile may look at signals from your browser to do that.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the companies that help us run RestockHound:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, runs Turnstile and sends our email.
- Stripe takes payments. For unlocks, Link, Stripe's merchant of record service, is the seller of record: it collects and pays the tax, sends your receipt and handles payment support.
- PostHog runs our analytics.
- If you turn on push notifications, your browser's push service (Apple, Google or Mozilla, depending on your browser) delivers them. It receives a push address for your device and the text of each notification.
When we look up stores, we send Apple only the postcode.
We may also share data if the law requires it. We don't sell or rent your data.
Where it goes
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. They protect those transfers with Standard Contractual Clauses, and with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where they're certified.
How long we keep it
- Hound data: while your hunt is running, then for 90 days after it ends.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires.
- Consent records: as long as we need to show you agreed.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, fix it, delete it or send you a copy. You can also object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email support@restockhound.com from the address you used, and we'll reply within one month.
If you're in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
RestockHound isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Security
Your case file link is private and hard to guess. Anyone who has it can see your hunt, so don't share it. All traffic to the site uses HTTPS.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data we already have, we'll email you first.
